Blush Blush!

Annnnd welcome back to the show. And now its decision time..our PYT bachelorette will ask one last question to her 3 suitors. And whoever she thinks answers it best..will...........

will be selected to star in a reality show with her based on the ever intriguing topic on why reality shows are made in the first place and how quickly they will manage to annihilate the entire planet!

You can sense the tension in the studio. The nail cutters are being confiscated, the humidity levels are being increased. All eyes on the lady in question. Silence.

Uhhhhgrmmmr (the lady in question clears her throat). "Bachelors...what is the best compliment you can give me?"

( said in a nice " sigh cum batting of the eyelids" way, which is weird because none of them can see her through the partition )

Bachelor No.1- You have the most lovely complexion that can ellicit jealousy from the fairest of maids.

Bachelor No.2- You have the most beautiful eyes which can put beauty queens to shame!

Bachelor No.3- Yo! I kinda dig your cool attitude u know..u r not high strung like most of the babes out thr...u know..kinda like that..Peace!

Ok..time to come out of the show...(who won..keep guessing.)

The question in my mind for quite some time has been..what exactly constitutes a compliment. I personally feel that congratulating someone on their ..say height, isnt exactly a compliment of sorts. They are tall mostly because (mostly meaning 8 times out of 10) of their genes..their dad is tall or grandfather or the 3rd relative of their mom's uncle's cousin is so. What exactly has been THEIR contribution in becoming tall?

But when someone says you have good oratory skills or that you have a wonderfully empathetic nature..they are acknowledging your personality..your nature..which is a wholesome entity because of the way you react to the situations around you. They are dynamic traits that you have developed over a period of time.No one is born compassionate or witty..you become so.

But one can argue that this line of thought means excluding people with natural born talents. Admit it..some people can't dance..some can learn how to dance..but there are some who are simply born with it..where do you place such individuals?

Anyways I don't think anybody really gives it such a deep thinking while handing out compliments. So in the words of Bachelor No.3..Peace!

  1. Its a shame the way present tv caters to our most vile qualities...most of the current viewers scan the tv channels looking for the one offering 1.scandal 2.sex 3.murder/attempt to murder/rape/molestation/ragging 4.political haha-ing 5.cat fights(ok i love cat fights i have to agree) 6. fights in general 7.Reality show judges where one can see the judges fight it out more than the contestants competing...

Its a shame to see what TV has 'progressed' to througout history. The same TV that brought the world closer is now wiping the minds of the people clean and filling it with unnecessary drivel !!

  2. I totally agree..i mean one just has to take a look at the spate of reality shows on mtv to realize this. Put in a bunch of egomaniacs in a room and thrust a camera into their face. I mean come on..do we actually believe that whatever is happening in front of the screen is actually real..cos the truth is that many of the "reality" show's "real" contestants just become drama queens/kings just to get publicity..you become (in)famous and voila!! next thing you know you have a brand new show on mtv..(its absolutely not mandatory that you end up winning the show in question..just act snobbish, mean, throw tantrums, bury your scruples n badmouth people around for no particular reason and make sure you get yopurself noticed.
